Bedside Table made out of Swiss pine wood

The bedside table should look similar to the sketch I created with Sketchup

Even though I bought the wood planed on Ricardo.ch is was deforming a bit already so that I had to run it through my thicknesser. The following picture shows the board on the jig I build to plane a board in a thicknesser. More about that particular jig can be found in the upcoming jig category in the future.

Based on the measures from the Sketchup model I cut the necessary pieces in my circular saw. As I did on my previously built kitchen shelf, I used the biscuit jointer to joint the boards together. Those joints really help to glue the pieces properly together.

Finally I assembled the boards using the biscuits.

After assembly I sanded with grit 180 followed by 240. I did not add oil or wax finish. I added a 6mm radius to the corners of the table That’s how it finally looks.
