INCRA Build-It: A cross-cut-sled for the DWE7492 jobsite saw

After I tried a couple of helpers to use a hand operated circular saw in a type of jig to cut small pieces of wood, I decided to build a cross-cut-sled, finally. Since I had an INCRA Build-It Starterkit around, which I ordered from Dieter Schmidt Feine Werkzeuge,

I used that and an additional Build-It small build it panel as well as two miter sliders to build my sled. Of course you can do that with scrap wood as you can see in a lot of youtube videos.

Apologies that I don’t have detailed step by step instructions how I build that sled. I can just present you the final sled here.

I calibrated the sled using the five-cut-method as described in the following video:

A PDF document describing the 5-cut method can be found in the video description or from this link.

The detailed description of the INCRA Build-It System can be found on Incra’s website website.

Bedside Table made out of Swiss pine wood

A space saving bedside table for an alarm clock or smart phone close to the bed. Inspired by our last vacation in South Tyrol it should be built out of the swiss pine wood I have still in stock.
